Mark Twain Summary

In "Mark Twain House", it was stated that Mark Twain was an American writer and humorist who was originally named Samuel Clemens. He was born in Florida November 30, 1835 but his family later moved to Hannibal‚ Missouri‚ on the banks of the Mississippi River. There he worked as a printer’s apprentice for a local newspaper. His job was to arrange the type for each of the newspaper’s stories‚ allowing Sam to read the news of the world while completing his work.He later traveled to New York City and Philadelphia where he continued the work as a news paper worker but by 1857, Mark moved back home to work as riverboat pilot on the Mississippi River. Later Samuel became inspired to write. He traveled around as a writer and settled in Hartford, Connecticut and built a life.
